Life can take unexpected turns. We all know that, especially in our current times. For some of us, those changes can manifest the triumph of the human spirit. It’s in some of the most bittersweet moments where the true resilience of virtue and goodness can really be seen.
In my opinion, nothing represents this bittersweet triumph than the recent story of Kyle Koren, a Colorado Christian University (CCU) senior who graduated from his home not only in a time of pandemic, but also while waging war against lymphoma.
The university faculty would not let Kyle be forgotten. After traveling to his home in Colorado Springs, the faculty presented Kyle with his diploma and proudly inducted him into the CCU alumni.
Though Kyle’s war continues, he is victorious in this one momentous battle.
