Do I need to use a black tank treatment if I am using Flush-It to clean my RV toilet bowl?

Flush-It is a 2-in-1 product - so it is going to clean your RV toilet bowl AND treat your black tank. If you are using Flush-It you do not need to use any additional black tank treatments.

My pod isn’t foaming? Will it still work?

Due to the manufacturing process, some pods foam more than others. Don’t worry though - the foam is more for fun! The real cleaning magic lies in the micro-scrubbing surfactants, bacteria, and enzymes.

Should I let the pod dissolve before cleaning the bowl?

Yes, let the pod fully dissolve before scrubbing the toilet. Sometimes the film that makes up the pod’s container may remain partially intact inside the bowl. Don’t worry. If there is any film floating in the water it will be dissolved as you scrub the bowl.

Can I use any toilet brush to clean my bowl?

We recommend that you never use a home toilet brush to clean your RV toilet bows. Home toilet brushes have rigid bristles that can damage the surface of your RV toilet bowl. They can also damage the very important valves and seals that help keep water in the bowl, and prevents odors from backing up into the RV from the black tank. Never use any kind of abrasive cleaners like pumice stone. You should always use a toilet bowl brush that is designed for use in RVs.

Can Flush-It damage my toilet if I leave it in the bowl for too long?

Nope! Actually, the longer you let Flush-It sit inside your bowl the better! More time allows the active bacteria and waste-dissolving enzymes time to work their magic! Flush-It will not cause any damage to toilet components when left inside the bowl for extended periods.

Can Flush-It be used to remove hard water stains, rust, or mineral deposits?

The cleaners inside Flush-It are designed to help lift and remove stains, including those from hard water, rust, and minerals. However, stains like this can be tricky. The longer you soak your stains with Flush-It the better the chance you have of removing these especially difficult stains.

How often should I use Flush-It?

Remember, Flush-It is a 2-in-1 product - so it is going to clean your RV toilet bowl AND treat your black tank.

We recommend that you start every camping trip by cleaning your RV toilet bowl with Flush-It. This will ensure that your bowl is clean. It will also provide your black tank with one complete treatment so your black tank can remain free from odors, waste buildup, and misreading sensor probes.

If you are using Flush-It you do not need to use any additional black tank treatments.

We also recommend that you use Flush-it again, and dumping your tanks completely, before ending your camping trip to ensure your toilet bowl AND black tank are clean before putting your RV into storage.

I’m using Flush-It but still have black tank problems?

Flush-It is designed to maintain an already working holding tank. It will help prevent odors, prevent clogs, and prevent misreading sensors.

If you are struggling with clogged tanks, you will need to use Clear-It to unclog the tank before using Flush-It.

If you are struggling with black tank sensors that are misreading, you will need to use Restore-It to clean and restore your sensor probes before using Flush-It.
